Welcome to Smith Cattle Co We are hiring a full-time Office Manager to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for managing office operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring efficient day-to-day activities of our cattle transport and farming operations.

We are a growing cattle feedlot and provide cattle transportation while farming and hauling hay and grain. We are located in Lewisville, Idaho about 20 minutes north of Idaho Falls. Our team is made up of individuals who are dedicated to the safety and well-being of others along with the livestock and crops we care for.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee all accounts, records, and finances for all entities to ensure the operation is efficient and accurate.
  • Maintain company, employee, and customer relations.
  • Assist and be a liaison for Owner and General Manager.
  • Keep detailed inventory and financial record of company owned cattle and other assets.
  • Monitory and balance all bank and loan accounts daily.
  • Manage all accounts payable/accounts receivable.
  • Prepare month-end accounting and financial documentation and reports.
  • Work with CPA on tax preparation quarterly, year-end, or as-needed.
  • Manage employee relations and onboarding - provide and complete new hire paperwork, maintain employee files, manage company payroll.
  • Maintain employee schedules as well as schedules of equipment and vehicles.
  • Prepare information for company audits as necessary.
  • Work with feed yard to provide necessary feed documentation for cattle.
  • Assist in all areas of the operation as needed.

This role is for you if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field along with knowledge of agriculture, farming, cattle, livestock, or other related industry.
  • Experience in accounts payable/receivable and preparing financial reports and month end.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent communication, effective leadership, attentional to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using MS Office and QuickBooks.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
