Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.

About the Role

Represents the primary contact for employees on issues regarding policies and procedures in support of all team leaders and the Human Resources Manager. Provides guidance, counsel, and problem-solving support to team leaders, teams, and individuals. Manages personnel placement function. Assumes responsibility for employee recruitment, hiring, and staffing of plant and office nonexempt positions including placement of physically restricted employees. Composes job postings.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Assists team members with questions when coming into the HR office and while walking around on the floor. Works empathetically and fairly with employees to resolve their concerns.
  2. Assumes responsibility for employee recruitment, hiring, and staffing at all levels.
  3. Composes job postings that correspond to supervisors' needs. Coordinates and approves job postings at all levels.
  4. Administers attendance corrective actions.
  5. Initiates and obtains approval for changes in salary.
  6. Responsible for administrative functions including benefits, payroll, etc.
  7. Participates in disciplinary actions up to and including separations, performance management, and conflict resolution situations.
  8. Works with team leaders to provide advice, ensure consistency of policy implementation and documentation, and monitor practices to ensure compliance with the law.
  9. Assists in planning and implementation of company employee relations programs and activities.
  10. Assists employees with leave administration such as FMLA, STD/LTD, ADA, and LOA.
Who we are looking for
  1. Bachelor's degree in business related field with demonstrated understanding of human resource laws; or equivalent experience.
  2. 3 – 5 years of Human Resources experience required.
  3. HRIS Systems: Workday/Ceridian/ADP/SuccessFactors knowledge, preferred.

  1. Proficient with computerized application software such as Workday and ADP/Dayforce, preferred.

  3. Demonstrated broad understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs. Researches and recommends new programs, coordinates necessary resources for programs and projects, and manages timing and implementation of new programs and projects.
