Seattle, Washington, United States Amazon Full time

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Are you an experienced BIM MEP designer with a passion for BIM/CAD? Are you a creative, smart and driven individual that enjoys working with complex projects within a team environment? If this is you, we want YOU on our team

You will be a part of a highly creative and efficient rack layout design team, tasked with designing challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Amazon owned data center facilities. You will produce and deliver our internal data center design packages to our various stakeholders and customers, support business-critical BIM/CAD-database processes using our internal tools, and support design and template development for continued improvement efforts.

Key job responsibilities
Daily responsibilities will include planning, creating and updating server room design packages for AWS Data Centers. Design packages depict planned rack locations, cooling and power sources, cages, mantraps, and other equipment within a server room. You must be able to work independently and work within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks. This includes working with internal groups as well as external teams. Your duties will include:

• Manage and create design of data center white space which includes rack layout, hot/cold containment, network infrastructure, branch circuit distribution, power requirements, cable pathway, and projected build phases.

• Preparing highly detailed and accurate Revit 3D models and 2D AutoCAD drawings of server rooms showing all equipment, racks, cabling, power, cooling, and spatial details

• Publishing rack layout design documentation in a fast-paced environment to meet deliverable deadlines

• Participate in project coordination meetings, and clearly communicate any necessary or recommended updates to project scheduling
