Job Description:

At Regions, the Capital Markets Debt Operations group comprises of Syndicated Loan Agency Services, Syndicated Loan Services, RSL Operations, RECM Operations, and Loan Trading Operations. These teams provide operational and risk management support the $11B Regions-led syndication portfolio, syndicated participation bought portfolio, FNMA, Freddie Mac, HUD, and loan trading portfolios.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists with closing and loan servicing support for the bank's portfolio of syndicated/participated bank facilities, where Regions is Administrative Agent
  • Manages Regions most sophisticated portfolio of syndicated/participated bank facilities
  • Possesses knowledge of the Syndicated Loan Market, especially as an Administrative Agent, and understands market conventions for managing the product
  • Executes loan closing, funding & booking activities in ACBS in collaboration with all parties
  • Reconciles daily funding and payment activity to account for all daily cash transactions
  • Calculates and tracks of complex interest and fee accruals at various rate levels
  • Monitors and escalates past due principal, interest, and fees to ensure that the loan accounting system is accurate and provide clients timely and accurate invoices
  • Communicates with internal/external stakeholders regarding issues around these specialized facilities
  • Manages the ongoing balances between loan system and borrower, along with participant bank shares
  • Researches and resolves loan related issues which may include missing payments, margin changes and/or unprocessed draw requests or conversions
  • Ensures all lending transactions are booked and managed correctly, minimizing operational risks and losses and ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures
  • Reads and interprets complex legal credit agreements and related documentation working with credit, legal, origination
  • Reconciles of control reports and engaging with leadership daily on Key Risk Indicators
  • Supports co-workers, work with various special projects or other tasks as assigned
  • Recommends latest methods to improve departmental procedures

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and three (3) years of related syndicated loan work experience, particularly in an Admin Agent role
  • Or an Associate's degree and five (5) years of related syndicated loan work experience, particularly in an Admin Agent role
  • Applicants will be expected to pass any assessment associated with the position

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, SharePoint)
  • Extremely detail oriented with a proven track record of accuracy
  • Knowledge of Bank systems used to manage the Syndicated lending business: ACBS, AFS Level III, Clearpar, Syndtrak, Notice Manager
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of operational and payment risk

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$77,810.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
