Remote, Oregon, United States Paytient Full time

About Paytient:
We're on a mission to help people better access and afford care.

Every day, millions of people, and their loved ones, need to see a doctor. For most of us, that moment is an uncertain one - we're unsure of what's wrong, who to go to, how long it'll take to be seen, when we'll feel better, and what it'll cost.

Paytient partners with thoughtful employers and health plans who understand the impact of that moment and want to ensure that every one of their plan members are easily able to access and afford care. Our clients understand that an improved ability to self-pay for care changes patient behavior and creates value for the health plan. This founding belief is becoming an emerging standard of care in health plan design and is now, in fact, a mandatory capability in some governmental health plans. Founded in 2018, Paytient is now part of nearly 6,000 employer health plans and providing certainty that people are better able to access and afford care.

We're looking for passionate, collaborative builders to join our team and help us create a future where everyone can more easily access and afford care.

About The Role:

Paytient is looking for a Product Manager who is passionate about the power of Paytient's platform and mission to help remove cost as a barrier to care.

As a Product Manager for our Medicare Prescription Payment Plans (M3P) product, you will be responsible for increasing user growth and activation. This new role will support our payer partners and our growing Medicare business as we serve health plans and PBMs to operationalize M3P for 2025 and beyond. In this role, you will work directly with our clients and cross-functional teams to deliver a product experience that easily explains the product value proposition to new users and motivates them to enroll in the program. You will imagine and develop the future of Paytient's M3P user onboarding and activation experience in order to enable millions of people to pay for their prescriptions over time and interest-free.

Since its founding in 2018, Paytient has made access and affordability to healthcare a certainty. This role is crucial to Paytient's growth and ability to serve millions of Medicare beneficiaries through the M3P program.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter that can deal with ambiguity and is always on the lookout for ways to improve the user experience. You are proactive, process and detail-oriented, and can handle multiple projects. You can thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment. You have managed the product design and development process to ensure that the needs of customers are met. You are a problem-solver and collaborator that can navigate ambiguity and move from concept to execution with confidence. You can determine the right product features with minimal direction, manage backlog items, work with cross-functional scrum teams, and effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction. You are an excellent data-driven storyteller and capable of presenting–and defending–your ideas to product owners, designers, engineers, and senior leaders.

The role reports to our VP of Product, and you can work from our Columbia, MO office, or anywhere within the continental U.S.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive user acquisition, onboarding, and activation for the M3P product to achieve our user growth business goals
  • Define the product experience for program eligibility verification, education, and enrollment
  • Work with our clients and partners to communicate the value of the Medicare Prescription Payments Plan

  • Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the SDLC process
  • Ensure successful delivery of initiatives listed in the product roadmap including meeting key milestones
  • Conduct user and competitive research to inform product requirements, design, strategy and direction
  • Analyze product usage and customer behavior
  • Run experiments to improve the user experience
  • Leverage data and use market-leading product analytics solutions to make data-informed product decisions
  • Facilitate agile scrum meetings including planning, estimation, retrospectives and daily standup
  • Test and validate user stories via APIs and user interfaces
  • Deliver innovative, human-centered, and industry-leading products that make an impact on the lives millions of people

What You'll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in a consulting or startup environment
  • At least 2-3 years of experience owning growth, onboarding, or activation at a mid stage startup
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Agile software development including Kanban and Scrum methodologies
