Job Overview


The Lindner Center of HOPE is recruiting a full time Residential Therapist that will conduct psychosocial assessments and provide individual, group and/or family therapy.

They will also work with Lindner Center of HOPE psychologists, care coordinators, advanced practice nurses, and psychiatrists to meet the needs of patients and their families in Residential Services.

Final rank of faculty appointment is commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions

  • Perform psychosocial assessments for patients and/or families.
  • Formulate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with Lindner Center of HOPE care coordinators, psychologists, psychiatrists and other treatment team members.
  • Champions the patient experience; the sum of all interactions that influence a patient's perception of our continuum of care and ultimately their well being.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact and clinical liaison for all treatment team members, families, patients, referrers, and external stakeholders.
Interprets and integrates all information gathered and communicates treatment goals effectively to all involved.

  • Collaborates with marketing to develop and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders to maximize these relationships and act as a Lindner Center of HOPE brand ambassador.
  • Perform all required documentation accurately and within expected time.
Documentation is concise, pertinent and meets professional and department documentation standards. Oral reporting is clear, concise, relevant, and timely.

  • Liaison with community agencies; participate in area activities related to mental health.
  • Maintain current licensure and participate in continuing education to maintain competency in area of practice.
  • Participates in departmental and LCOH quality improvement efforts and meets peer review standards.
  • Participates in community education and outreach.
Minimum Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in psychology or clinical psychology.
  • Must have a current unrestricted license in the State of Ohio as a Licensed Psychologist for at least 5 years.
Required Experience

  • At least 5 years' experience working as a therapist in an outpatient or residential setting.
  • Must have and maintain age specific competencies to work with patient population served.
  • Knowledge of Assessment and Counseling practices and principles.
Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or Psychodynamic Therapies is ideal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate and work with others to insure the best clinical outcome for patients and families.
