Vice President of US Sales and GTM, Cybersecurity

OpenText is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as the Vice President of US Sales and Go-To-Market (GTM) for our Cybersecurity business unit. Reporting to the EVP, Cybersecurity Sales, this pivotal role will drive the strategy, execution, and management of our US sales and GTM efforts, positioning OpenText as a trusted partner in solving the most complex cybersecurity challenges facing our customers today and in the future.

What the role offers:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Lead the US Sales and GTM teams with a focus on building strong customer partnerships.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity story that addresses Zero Trust, Insider Threats, and data security compliance regulations.
    • Collaborate with Solutions Consulting, Product and Engineering, marketing, and renewals team to ensure a team approach from product selling to problem-solving (We, Not I)
  • Customer Engagement & Solution Development:
    • Enhance the team's ability to address real-world issues related to Data Discovery and Protection.
    • Drive the adoption of Identity and Governance solutions to secure data and systems, aligned with Zero Trust principles.
    • Ensure applications and code are free from vulnerabilities.
    • Utilize AI and ML tools to assist customers and agencies in managing Insider Threats.
  • Market Adaptation & Team Transformation:
    • Lead the ongoing transformation of the team in response to evolving market conditions, emerging threats, new regulations, and customer needs.
    • Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends and ensure the team is equipped to address new challenges as they arise.

What you need to succeed:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the cybersecurity industry with track record of execution
  • Deep understanding of Zero Trust, Insider Threats, data security compliance, and related cybersecurity issues.
  • Strong track record of building and leading high-performing sales and GTM teams.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including CTOs, Solutions, and Marketing.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and the ability to transform sales strategies to solve complex cybersecurity problems.
  • Experience in leveraging AI and ML tools to enhance cybersecurity solutions is highly desirable.
