VP - Regulatory Implementation Legal New YorkAs a Barclays Vice President - Regulatory Implementation Legal, get this exciting opportunity to be part of the legal team.

Your responsibilities include overseeing Barclays' response to new regulations affecting the firm, managing risk and challenges, and identifying opportunities arising from regulatory change.

Salary / Rate Minimum:
$250,750 Salary / Rate Maximum:

$310,250The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate.
It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in.

Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter.

However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires.

We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally can request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances.

What will you be doing?oWorking with stakeholders across the group to develop integrated global regulatory strategiesoMonitoring legal and regulatory developments in multiple jurisdictions and anticipating and assessing impact on Barclays' core businessesoReviewing, analyzing, and explaining new regulatory developments to senior management and advising on implementation of new guidelines, practices, and policies across the firmoEngaging with regulatory process and advocacy as needed, including through drafting & submitting comments on new regulatory proposalsoParticipating in meetings with the regulatorsoStaying up to date on industry trends, innovations, new technologies and service providers as they relate to Barclays' business and regulatory strategyoTaking part in industry association committees and working groupsoManaging and escalating effectively legal and regulatory risks identified with respect to new regulatory proposals and implementation programsWhat we're looking for:
oOver five years of experience at a nationally recognized law firm and/or in-house at a financial institutionoJ.

or equivalent degree and New York State bar admissionSkills that will help you in the role:

oExcellent written and oral communication skillsoDemonstrated ability to work independently and proactively toward business objectivesoAbility to collaborate and liaise effectively with stakeholders across regions and functionsoSkilled to communicate organizational values, address conflicts and deliver difficult messagesWhere will you be working?You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue.
