This role will be communicating technical information to end users of Zebra products and applications using writing, editing, design, illustration, or multimedia skills.

Ideal candidate will work on a hybrid schedule in Holtsville, NY, Lincolnshire, IL or Mississauga, ON.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Write clear, concise, and informative documentation to educate external developers, partners, and prospects on Zebra's features and functionalityEvaluate project requirements, analyze audience needs, and recommend appropriate externally-facing documentationDrive process improvements and document guidelines/standards to ensure continuity of style of contentBuild and maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
Act as lead and SME for technical writing team. Mentor other technical writers on best practicesWork closely with engineers, product managers, and other team members to collect source information, obtain technical reviews, and test functionality, as necessaryParticipate in team initiatives to establish style and process guidelines, provide input into tool and usability decisions, and contribute occasionally to internal documentation
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degrees in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field5+ years of experience in technical writing Experience with DITA Demonstrated experience writing documentation for targeted audiences
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Adobe FrameMakerAbility to work both independently and collaboratively, learn new skills quickly, and balance multiple projectsAbility to work with a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technicalKnowledge of technical writing standards and familiarity with common style guides

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
