Purpose/Scope
The Quality Management Evaluator (QME) assists with the oversight of the Quality Management System Program implementation and works in partnership with Operations, Safety, Quality Control, Maintenance, Logistics and Purchasing to support the mission, and establishes Quality Assurance procedures to ensure all functional departments meet the contractual requirements. Also responsible for process auditing, procedural compliance and contributes to the continuous improvement initiatives across the contract.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage the Quality Surveillance Program, develop necessary guidance to be included in procurement documents and approves deviations to that quality policy.
- Ensure performance and quality of assigned quality function conforms to established standards and governmental agency guidelines.
- Coordinate collection of responses to customer Corrective Action Response (CAR), issue corrective action changes to preclude recurrence.
- Work directly with operating entities to ensure inspections, statistical process analyses, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications.
- Consult with local management in determining best measures of project efficiency and root causes for non-conformances to Quality Plan and to customer contractual requirements.
- Conduct and direct internal management audits, prepare formal audit reports, and define audit schedules.
- Implement the Process Improvement Program.
- Develop staff and determine best methods for performance enhancement.
- Assess contractual requirements, develop, and maintain checklists, and communicate within quality function.
- Develop quality requirements, prepare, and maintain procedures and methods for life-cycle quality of hazardous material (HM).
- Review quality and inspection procedures to identify potential impact on product quality.
- Develop and determine contract quality assurance provisions, including inspections and tests.
- Advise and assist on technical aspects of the HM, storage, and transportation.
- Manage Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP) for the Contractor.
- Conduct investigations and resolve customer complaints derived from Quality Notifications.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience managing a QA program as a primary duty, establishing control procedures, analyzing data, and performing QA inspections.
• Must have experience with establishing key performance metrics. - Ability to effectively and efficiently supervise and manage quality personnel.
- Ability to work with personnel at all levels to effectively and efficiently manage the program Quality Plan.
- Advanced understanding of QA/QC approaches, methods, management, and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, ISO 9000 standard, Lean Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies.
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by assignment or contract.
Work Environment
Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must use hand to finger motion and be able to climb and balance. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance. Must be able to work in wet or humid conditions. Will work near moving mechanical parts. Will work in high and precarious places. Must be able to have clear close, distance, color and peripheral vision. Must have depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. May have to work around fumes, air borne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. May have to work in the outdoors in extreme heat or cold weather. The noise level in this area is moderate.
This position will work from provided office spaces located on or near Robins Air Force Base.
