Join our agile marketing platform team within the Digital Innovation Group (DIG) at Providence and be part of a group that's driving modern data architecture with an innovative lens. We're seeking a marketing platform engineer who combines technical expertise with a visionary mindset. You'll have the opportunity to shape the platform roadmap, solve complex problems, and build end-to-end systems.
We are seeking a Principal Marketing Platform Engineer to join the team behind the architecture, enhancement, and upkeep of a sophisticated MarTech ecosystem of platforms that power our Marketing programs and digital experiences. This includes solutions that are third-party sourced and in-house built. As our Principal Marketing Platform Engineer, you're expected to be a bit of a tech polymath with diverse toolbox of skills. You'll need to navigate through the nuances of various software frameworks and the expansive realm of cloud-based solutions with ease. You'll need to be able to translate tech-speak into actionable blueprints, and sift through technical documentation to distill the essential information from noise. Your role is collaborative at its core. You'll be in lockstep with Product Owners, synchronizing your day to day with our Project Managers. From the initial stages of discovery through implementation and beyond into support you'll be serve as a key integrator; bridging the gap between technical requirements and shipped code. For our team you're not just an engineer; you're also a bridge-builder, connecting the dots between what's needed and what's possible, driving our platforms towards performance and innovative end-user experiences.

For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that meet the requirements.
• Partners with other subject matter experts where needed to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drafts solutions that are in line within technical policy and seeks approval throughout design and build.
• Design and operate processes that monitor data sources for anomalies and support rapid resolution for affected business processes
• Knowledge of relevant data structures and ability to seek out answers by finding documentation or SMEs who can assist
• Write and debug clean, scalable code. Conduct code QA.
• Able to troubleshoot and analyze issues related to code and architecture development on their own and assist in identifying possible solutions
• Works on data structures, data layers, and data tables in support of a variety of business use cases
• Works within marketing data systems to measure all tactics and their conversion points across all tracked channels
• Understands and supports the technical realization of department goals and the overall technical roadmap

Ability to communicate effectively across a diversity of functional areas and roles (e.g., legal, regulatory, finance, PR, external industry groups, etc.) regarding the program progress, outcomes, issues, blockers, risks, risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent educ/experience
- 7 years of relevant experience with large, complex organization
- 7 years of Advanced knowledge of SQL (T-SQL/ Snow-SQL/etc)
- 7 years Knowledge of Cloud integrations in Azure (preferred) or other; cloud warehousing and both MDM and ELT process (both API and flat file integrations)
- 7 years of experience working in marketing industry supporting data integration and preparation across multiple solutions such as Tealium, Salesforce, Adobe Analytics, Eloqua, etc.
- 7 years of experience building backend data services for reporting and analytic tools/environments
- 5 years of experience of marketing concepts like attribution, incrementality, CRM, lead management, prospecting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent educ/experience
- Epic Certification upon hire Or
- Appropriate on job training for EHR data and systems upon hire
