GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Jenkins Living Center LPN, under the direct supervision of an RN, supports providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) in the provision of patient care; includes recording vital signs, discussing chief health concerns, performing testing, and administering injections; assists with procedures and documentation. Manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of nursing in accordance with facility and SD State Facility of Health policies and procedures. Supervision of NAT/CNA's.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing required
Current SD Board of Nursing registration required
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred; prior geriatric experience preferred.
