Mid to Senior Full Stack Developer
About Your Role
As an early stage company, we are looking for a full-stack developer who is eager to create something from scratch. You will be working closely with both the CTO and CEO to architect not only the MVP but also the longer term roadmap and product development strategy for revnt.
This requires an ability to balance "getting things done" with awareness and consideration of what makes a product scalable and maintainable long-term. You will be expected to be able to evaluate current technologies and platforms and provide insight into what the best option for our product is, not only from a purely technical perspective but also one of cost and larger scale support.
Initial Task
Our expectation is that you can create a fully functional MVP within the first three months. That includes time to evaluate and provide your own input on the current prototype, research and suggest the platform and framework to build on, as well as actually coding the MVP.
As a full stack developer, you will be responsible for both the web application UI as well as the backend API, the database layer, and deployment to a hosting platform. Some User Experience Design knowledge is preferred, however the initial designs and assets will be provided to you.
Long Term Responsibilities
Once the MVP is created, your role will pivot to extending the product to create and support all new features. As the primary developer, you will be responsible for evaluating all new features, adding your own input to the value and viability of them, and then architecting and developing their implementation.
As our team grows, you will be able to largely spearhead the recruitment, hiring, and management of additional developers. While both the CEO and CTO have veto rights against a new hire, no hiring will be made without your approval as well.
Requirements
5+ years of experience developing scalable web applications
Demonstrated expertise in modern web technologies (React, Angular, Typescript, etc)
Demonstrated expertise in full-stack application development and deployment
Ability to provide clear communication on both technical and business decisions
Experience integrating with third-party APIs and SDKs
Nice To Have
Cloud deployment experience on either AWS or GCP
Working knowledge of an additional server programming language (Go, PHP, Ruby, etc)
Working knowledge of GraphQL
Working knowledge of data modeling and database architecture
UI/UX Design experience
