Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Data Engineer:

  • Create and maintain data pipelines using ELT and ETL processes.
  • Consolidate requirements to facilitate reusable data products.
  • Work with product management and analysts to address performance needs.
  • Create informative and actionable visualizations that facilitate end user self-service analytics.
  • Incorporate data from multiple healthcare domains (encounters, conditions, orders, payments) to structures that support outcomes research and analysis.
  • Build tooling to collect and display operational metrics on pipeline throughput and success.
  • Support stakeholders to deliver a consistent experience and predictable delivery.
  • Ensure that data privacy is maintained and all security requirements are addressed.
  • Continually strive to improve functionality and look for optimizations.
  • Highly driven and motivated to ensure customer success.

Core qualifications:

  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity Oracle database.
  • Experience building and optimizing data architectures and data sets.
  • Experience with data visualization software – OAC, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Looker.
  • Experience with data-oriented scripting languages: Python, R, Scala, etc.
  • We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of Healthcare data domains – Claims, EHR, PBM.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable working in a structured SDLC environment (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Source control systems, issue tracking, development KPIs.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
