Raymond West is looking for a details Payroll Administrator to join our team. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for compiling, processing, and completing the payroll process and to maintain payroll records by performing the following duties.

Raymond West is committed to providing our customers with end-to-end warehouse solutions. We bring you our industry-leading expertise in lift trucks, racking, conveyor, dock and door, rentals, parts, and service. Our customers trust us to provide the right supply chain solutions and services to keep their business up and running.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary duties and responsibilities will vary with the specific position. Typical responsibilities are listed below. This list is not inclusive.

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly, monthly, and special off-cycle payrolls (including, but not limited to bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay) for over 800+ employees.
  • Prepare and upload journal entries and balance out accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute detailed reports required by other departments.
  • Review/approve employee direct deposit and address changes within the payroll system.
  • Process income verifications of employment authorized by employees.
  • Distribute Manual and 3rd Party checks to employees and outside agencies.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved timecards.
  • Process and track all garnishments, benefit adjustments and other special payroll entries.
  • Establish and maintain payroll records in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Distribute W2 forms at year end to applicable employees.
  • Reconciles and balances for employee changes entered by Human Resources.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Organizational Time Management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite and similar software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with employees of all levels, vendors, and agency contacts.
  • Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
  • Possess strong business math skills.
  • Present a clean, neat professional appearance.
  • Be able to manage time effectively.
  • Motivated to continuous self-development and training.
  • Willing to assume more responsibility as required.
  • Self-confident and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with our RW Employee Handbook.

Education/Experience:

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous payroll experience
  • Multi-state payroll experience desirable
  • Business and Accounting courses are desirable.
  • Computer skills (including but limited to Excel), as well as 10-key required.

Pay Range:

  • The hourly range for this position is $ $29.00. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
