ManTech is seeking a Data Engineer in Herndon, VA . The Data Engineer is responsible for making data available, accessible, and secure to all stakeholders. As a Data Engineer on our team you will design, build, and optimize systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create robust and resilient data pipelines to connect data sources to analytics tools
  • Work with various analysts to craft requirements
  • Enumerate the necessary datasets and design the data model and schemas to support the requirements
  • Provide platform support, including problem solving and debugging, for production issues
  • Interact and collaborate across the services and communities involved in multi-domain Cyber Defense to achieve breakthrough improvements in capabilities
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to design solutions and troubleshoot issues effectively
  • Analyze data sources for accuracy, data prioritization, and apply appropriate logic to developed solutions
  • Leverage excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues via multiple communications channels

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Data Science or Data Engineering
  • Experience coding in Python
  • Experience with Database Management using SQL or PostgreSQL
  • Experience with ETL tools, data transformation and data pipelines
  • Experience taking data collection requirements and translating those requirements into implementable solutions
  • Experience with Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or High School Diploma plus 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Javascript/NodeJS

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active/Current TS/SCI with polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
