We are seeking a charismatic and energetic in-game host for the St. Louis Blues to engage and excite fans during home games. The ideal candidate will lead game-time entertainment, including contests, giveaways, and interactive segments, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees. Strong public speaking skills and a passion for hockey are essential.
Compensation is $250/game.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct live, interactive activations from stands or ice surface to enhance the in-arena fan experience while following an in-depth game script to ensure smooth execution
  • Clearly and efficiently communicate promotional messages, sponsor marketing assets and/or content in a fun, creative and innovative way
  • Engage Blues fans in a positive and professional manner both on and off camera as a public representative of the Blues brand
  • Add energy to in-game presentation using voice and body language, and work collaboratively with additional on-camera talent
  • Independently review scripts and timing sheets, and commit certain sponsored aspects to memory to ensure a smooth flow to presentation of all in-game information
  • Represent the St. Louis Blues organization when requested to appear on local media, including morning news live-shots from the arena to promote upcoming Blues events, games or community initiatives
  • Record and/or appear in Blues branded marketing spots, either radio or video, to be utilized on local broadcast, social media, in-venue digital assets or any means agreed upon by the St. Louis Blues Hockey Club and its partners as needed
  • Appear at off-site events to execute brand-conscious activations such as away game watch parties, community festivals, community relations initiatives or other events to fulfill sponsorship term sheet agreement elements
  • Appear on-stage during pre-game plaza pep rallies when necessary
  • St. Louis Blues in-venue host reports directly to Director of Game Presentation

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Available 3 hours prior to puck drop to participate in all pregame planning/production meetings
  • Ability to project comfortably and naturally on a microphone in front of large audiences
  • Ability to follow both verbal direction and in-depth game scripts provided before games
  • Must have the ability to receive feedback, critique and professional advice to hone skills and improve overall in-game presentation
  • Must be able to easily commit information to memory
  • Experience conducting live interviews
  • Willingness to change directives on-the-fly with little explanation or warning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of current St. Louis Blues player information, including proper name pronunciation, numbers, positions, hometowns and basic statistics
  • Working knowledge of NHL hockey rules and regulations
  • Flexible hours and availability to alter schedule to accommodate attendance at all Blues preseason, regular season and playoff games as well as other events, video shoots or appearances requested by the St. Louis Blues or corporate sponsors
  • High ethical standards and respect for the overall corporate mission of the St. Louis Blues Hockey Club

MANDATORY VIDEO SUBMISSION:

Your intro should be engaging and enthusiastic, capturing the attention of our audience and set the tone for the game. Below are example entertainment points to highlight, along with your intro and outro. Feel free to ad lib and please conclude with "Let's Go Blues".

  • Clear and Concise: Keep your message clear and avoid unnecessary details to fit within the max 30-second timeframe.
  • Engage the Audience: Use inclusive language to make the audience feel like part of the action.
