Key Requirements:

  • Experience in U.S. export controls (BIS), sanctions (OFAC), customs (including tariffs) and other international trade related regulations required
  • Experience should include counseling, training, licensing, opinion work, filings, compliance audits, internal investigations, responding to government enforcement actions and developing and implementing relevant compliance policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Must be an active member of the DC Bar or be willing to apply for membership within 90 days of employment at the firm

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with other types of investigations related work (e.g., FCPA) and/or national security matters (CFIUS)
  • Strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school (U.S. JD required)
  • Prior work experience within a large law firm preferred

  • Flexible Work Schedule: We offer a flexible work schedule that supports a healthy work-life balance and professional development. Senior Associates, Associates, and Sr. Counsel are expected in the office at least two days a week, while Counsel, Staff Counsel, and Patent Agents are expected one day a week. This flexibility allows our team members to manage their schedules effectively while ensuring they have ample opportunity for growth and collaboration.
