As People Operations Manager, you'll work closely with operations and HR contributors to guide the employee journey and collaborate with managers to develop and continuously improve our people strategy in line with our B Corp values.

How You'll Contribute

  • Attract, hire, and retain the people Idealist Consulting needs to actualize organizational goals and objectives
  • Identify and nurture Strategic pipeline development partnerships
  • Oversee the talent sourcing process to ensure quality candidates and predictable time to hire
  • Work with hiring managers to define staffing needs and establish ideal candidate profiles and advise on new role development as needed
  • Project hiring budget needs and compensation benchmarks per role
  • Build and iterate job descriptions and maintain lists of duties and responsibilities for all active roles
  • Generate offer letters and manage new hire negotiations
  • Oversee onboarding and training process and administration for all new hires
  • Manage employee engagement activities with the goal of employee retention, continuity in management, and succession planning
  • Develop people management frameworks and processes to guide managers and department heads throughout the employee life cycle
  • Collaborate with managers to create personalized employee engagement and professional development plans
  • Guide managers through employee improvement plans and other disciplinary actions as warranted
  • Ensure benefit offerings and policy design are inclusive and valued
  • Establish, monitor, and report on employee engagement metrics
  • Oversee Talent Development and Training Initiatives
  • Ensure that the creation and facilitation of holistic training and development tracks and frameworks are in line with company growth goals and implementation partner requirements
  • Oversee onboarding and new hire training programs
  • Ensure the accuracy of training records and process documentation
  • Cultivate an inclusive and fun company culture in line with Idealist Consulting values
  • Establish DEIB metrics and manage related initiatives
  • Stay current on B Corp people trends to envision the future of work and evolve hybrid work environments and policies
  • Lead Human Resources and People Operations team
  • Embody Idealist Consulting's values-aligned management philosophy
  • Identify needs and collaborate with recruiting specialist on talent sourcing, contract negotiation, onboarding and training
  • Use standardized reviews and quarterly conversations to foster healthy working relationships, identify employee strengths and weaknesses, and support their growth and development within the organization.
  • Encourage professional development and make employee promotion recommendations
  • Manage performance concerns and realignment plans as needed
  • Supervise HR administration to ensure alignment with company, state, and local policies, while upholding compliance with both state and national regulations
  • Oversee selection and use of HR specific tech-stack such as ATS, Payroll system, benefit portal and more

Your Background Includes

  • 7+ years of HR or people operations experience
  • HR Certification - SHRM, SHRL, HRM or equivalent
  • Skilled in successful stakeholder collaboration with a proven capacity to train and engage stakeholders
  • Experience working with agency or other service delivery organization
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience building team cohesion within virtual environments
  • Working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and federal legislation related to employment practices and general HR administration
  • Demonstrated experience managing through significant change/growth and delivering results, as well as staying flexible as priorities shift
  • Proficient in utilizing Google Drive
