WHAT IS THE HCO - Human Capital OfficeDIVISION?

Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas: Human Capital Office of Human Resource Strategy Enterprise Talent Development

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

-Records and maintains records on all training events, programs, and curricula using the appropriate systems/technologies. Assesses the impact of new programs and legislative changes on existing products, services, and resources. Presents findings through consolidated status reports, oral presentations, memoranda, and other documents as required. Coordinates with all levels of management to plan and manage projects. Develops and maintains subject matter familiarity in one or more subject areas related to curriculum and content development within academies/schools to which assigned.

- Plans, coordinates, administers, and implements training events, training programs and

curricula to improve employee performance service wide for a diverse student population.

- Creates innovative training and career development methods/products/services in areas

where traditional methods have been ineffective or are not applicable. Stays current with

state-of-the-art developments, trends, and outlooks in adult learning.

- Plans, develops, schedules, coordinates, and analyzes training events, programs, and

curricula using the appropriate systems/technologies to ensure successful learning and data to

support successful future events, programs, and curricula. Collaborates with stakeholders at

all levels to execute training plans.

- Coordinates in-person and virtual classes to include providing reporting instructions,

evaluation reports and providing support to students.

If this position has promotion potential and you are selected at a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses. For example, you may be hired as a GS-05, but if the position has promotion potential to GS-11, then you can move from a GS-05 to a GS-11 in as little as three years. Promotions are not automatic, and may occur after you have:

  • met time-in-grade requirements;
  • performed at an acceptable level of competence; and
  • demonstrated your ability to perform work at the next higher grade level.
