Position Specific Description

This role is responsible for the daily reporting of the cost and schedule associated with all jobs within a monthly plan. This includes jobs startedin a preceding month and completed in current month, those started and completed within the current month, and those started in current monthwith a completion in a subsequent month. In order to accurately forecast the cost of each job, the Specialist will need to have a thoroughunderstanding of all sub-tasks and the associated vendor contracts, charges for cranes and equipment, hourly labor rates, OT charges, costs forstandby time, etc. Note that these costs and contractual agreements vary significantly by job type, location, and work force / vendor selection. Further, the Specialist will need to collect and review all approved timesheets, know the percent complete of all tasks for each job and be awareof and consider any delays, which is necessary to determine how they will ultimately impact final job costs. This position will work with both theCML's and Job Planners to update costs in Maximo and our Monthly plans as required. The position will be located within driving distance to a site in the mountain region and requires approximately 60% travel.

Employees in this job learn to lead a team of maintenance specialists, technicians, engineers, and contractors involved in major maintenance activities or plant maintenance. Individuals in this position lead internal and external resources to Deliver Certainty for assigned major maintenance activities or plant maintenance to achieve objectives for: safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and cost compliance.
