Position Description

Performs responsible, specialized duties within a unit of a department. Responsibilities include activities which require knowledge of departmental procedures. Employee performance is based upon a review of completed work and overall results obtained. May supervise clerical employees.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Answer telephone - Greet Customers and direct their calls
  • Operate and maintain a point of sale cash register system
  • Operate mail inserter, folder, tabber, perforator, and other devices for mail preparation
  • Create, modify, and distribute bulk mailing lists.
  • Process bindery orders and process Printing Center orders
  • Assist bindery, bulk mail, and Printing Center as needed
  • Type freight labels, verify addresses, measure and weigh packages
  • Drive state owned vehicle to deliver jobs as needed
Occasional Duties
  • Cross Training, Institutional Training, Safety Training
  • Maintain Clean and Efficient workspace and customer waiting area
  • Assist throughout the Printing Center as needed
Required Qualifications

High school plus 3 years experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with spreadsheets, Professional Excel experience.
  • USPS Retail Mail Experience
  • Bulk Mail Experience
  • FedEx or UPS mailing experience
