Amazon seeks an experienced highly motivated Senior financial analyst to join our talented Advertising Deals Desk team to help scale our growing Advertising business.

This role is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing division within Amazon Ads, where you will partner with sales, operations and other finance teams to enable deals execution and reporting.

The successful candidate will initially build and reporting mechanisms, maintain and track Deals benefits offered to our customers, participate defining sales strategy for Advertiser Agreements.

This individual will be responsible for managing the reporting on key metrics in our Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews and identifying trends/insights to the leadership team.

Candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual will have strong communication skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.

Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize.

Key job responsibilities
a) Build and manage key metrics in our Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
b) Lead the work streams in the Advertiser Agreements buildup and negotiations
c) Business partnership; with Sales, Accounting, Legal, Tax and other Finance team
d) Conduct Financial analysis to support growth and optimization initiatives

A day in the life
a) support reporting initiatives b) active conversations with your business partners and support them in deal making process c) support adhoc questions d) Continuous focus on how to drive impact through Amazon LPs such as Think Big, Invent and Simplify and Dive Deep

About the team
Highly motivated individuals with an average tenure of 3+ years on the team. Team is laser focused on serving our customers who are the advertisers and the agencies.

These individuals drive active negotiations with the customers and thus have a direct impact on the Free Cash Flow for Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 2+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
