Senior Financial Analyst, Advertising Finance

Overview
We are seeking a driven professional to serve as a financial partner in fostering the growth of our current operations and the creation of innovative products and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain reporting mechanisms for Small and Medium Business Advertising performance, establish and monitor objectives for product leadership, and collaborate with the business on comprehensive analyses and impactful growth strategies.
- Examine data, trends, and discrepancies, forecast business needs, and generate actionable insights for the organization.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of international performance and communicate opportunities and risks to leadership through regular forums.
- Collaborate with cross-functional finance teams and oversee monthly and weekly financial and operational performance metrics for your business, including Weekly/Monthly Business Reviews.
A Day in the Life
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will engage closely with business and finance leaders to create financial models that align with both short-term and long-term business and financial objectives, assess new business opportunities, and propel business initiatives for SMB ADSP advertising products. This role involves collaboration across various teams within Amazon to enhance SMB Advertising on a global scale.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical discipline (e.g., engineering, mathematics, computer science).
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 2+ years of experience in process improvements through automation and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within your team to enhance controllership with measurable outcomes.
- MBA or CPA.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is influenced by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
