Eliminating health disparities involves creating a healthcare environment where every child receives high-quality, personalized care regardless of their background or circumstances. This role will co-lead this work at JHACH with a physician champion.
Accountable for day-to-day operations of department unit through implementation of strategy, policy, direction and action plans. The incumbent will manage the ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to maintain and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. Accountable for driving excellence throughout the assigned area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; Master's Degree preferred.
- 2 – 5 years' program management work experience required, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing with all levels of management and employees throughout the organization.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Lean Six Sigma training, Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designations preferred.
Specific job duties including but not limited to:
- Lead efforts to diminish disparities in healthcare by facilitating access to top-tier care, advocating for equitable practices, fostering community involvement, and exhibiting effective leadership.
- Utilize data-driven insights to shape strategies, implement evidence-based interventions, and establish standardized performance measures.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and community stakeholders to execute a diverse range of projects aimed at reducing health disparities, ensuring accountability across regulatory, reputational, and operational domains.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork to advance health equity objectives, focusing on improving care accessibility, standardizing data practices, monitoring disparities, engaging communities, and measuring outcomes effectively.
- Shape and implement a comprehensive health equity strategy, ensuring the seamless integration of disparity reduction efforts into healthcare delivery.
- Lead and oversee projects requiring broad organizational buy-in and input from diverse stakeholders.
- Maintain meticulous project records, including meeting minutes, action plans, and the tracking and reporting of project milestones.
