About the Role

Spiegelworld is looking for a Public Relations Manager to join the team at our headquarters office in Las Vegas. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing public relations strategies to support Spiegelworld's business and branding goals. This role will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing & Sales and in coordination with agencies to elevate awareness across the Spiegelworld portfolio, creating comprehensive communication strategies and partnerships with key external audiences, including media and influencers.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day execution of driving the communication strategy, creating forward-thinking messaging and garnering press coverage. Specific focus on entertainment and hospitality, strong media relationships in the Las Vegas market will be necessary. This position will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing. This is a salaried position and earns $80,000/year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain media relationships (locally, regionally, nationally and internationally) to result in editorial coverage for Spiegelworld and its productions. Proactively pitch to include writing of pitches, development of trend ideas, journalist interaction, on site media support and recommendations on media leads / requests.
  • Tactical execution of the public relations strategy, media events and announcements maintaining deadlines and follow ups with media.
  • Collaborate with and support internal teams to generate story leads and maintain operational support for media inquiries.
  • Supports on-site media filming, photo shoots, media familiarization trips, executive and talent interviews.
  • Draft and distribute listings, pitches, press releases and update alerts.
  • Manage and share press coverage, including reporting.
  • Diligently collaborate with outside agencies to execute on PR strategies and projects.
  • Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in entertainment, hospitality or tourism public relations, communications or journalism Proven track record of successful PR campaigns
  • Strong understanding of media and knowledge of key members of the press
  • Strong understanding, knowledge of and experience with non-traditional, direct-to-consumer outreach
  • General understanding of theater and entertainment industry and celebrities, influencers, etc.
  • Established relationships with journalists, producers and representatives
  • Strategic thinking with creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Self-starter, who is highly organized and a clear communicator
  • Ability to interface effectively with senior executives and staff at all levels Excels in a highly collaborative, creative, and ever-changing organization.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Located in Las Vegas or willing to relocate to Las Vegas.
  • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
