The role of the Territory Sales Manager for Fish is to drive co-creation of value and grow the business overall with a selected customer group. The TSM role is also to strengthen collaboration and relationships at the customer group level, ensure an aligned approach from Marel cross all accounts/sites and strive for customer success and high customer satisfaction. The TSM is responsible for the relationship and management of the customer at a group level from a sales perspective and acts as a trusted advisor for the customer.

What we are looking for:

Marel is looking for a Territory Sales Manager for Fish to join our Sales team

  • The candidate will be responsible for accounts in the region of Northeast USA and Eastcoast USA and would need to live in this region should they be offered this role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5-10 years sales management experience, food industry and/or capital equipment.
  • Strong resource management skills such as
    • ability to resolve conflict within group to achieve positive outcomes.
    • ability to provide constructive feedback to resources to achieve positive outcomes.
    • mentor resources
    • identify strengths/weaknesses.
  • Experience in strategic planning of implementation is a plus.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple high-profile client engagements simultaneously.
  • Looking for someone with a strong desire to succeed and win.
  • Exhibits some creativity in problem solving and team management activities.
  • Advanced verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Visio.
  • Experience with Capital Equipment preferred.

Job description / Responsibilities:

  • Day to day sales and customer relationship responsibilities for a given region.
  • Customer development and marketing of Marel products
  • Project identification and development, works with customers to develop project paybacks and justifications.
  • Developing and obtaining territory sales goals and Business Plans in specified region
  • New customer development
  • Drive growth through front line sales roles within Marel
  • Generate sales growth across core and strategic product lines.
  • Maintain the "line of sight" between individual sales results and rewards.
  • Motivate participants to take actions that maximize growth opportunities.
  • Required administration work and done in at the time when specified.
  • Typical travel is four days a week.
  • Cost containment where it concerns business expenses.
  • Must build internal relationships to achieve proper support required to complete your responsibilities as a Territory Sales Manager.
  • Always be ethical when conducting business internally and externally.
  • Participate in set training programs/Schedules for self-development.
