OVERVIEW:

The Manager, CMF Design will be a highly visible design lead with a focus on managing and monitoring the design process from initial brief and research through mass production. Supervises and develops CMF designs, ID Specifications, and presentations for new products or improvements to existing products. This role will work collaboratively with Director CMF Design and cross-functional departments on design requirements, manufacturing feasibility, and market-driven CMF strategies. This position will work to create breakthrough CMF design solutions within aggressive cost targets for new and existing products and ensures all processes and timelines are diligently adhered to for themselves and their direct reports.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do:

  • Lead a dynamic team of 2 -3 Jr/Mid level designers and collaborate with our ID team.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to establish CMF strategies, traffic projects, and build cross-functional alignment.
  • Own full CMF design workload across multiple categories including mood/concept board creation, Keyshot renderings, ID Spec building, cross-functional stewardship and follow-up.
  • Analyzes and identifies areas of improvement for the existing CMF design department, organization, and process.
  • Actively immerse in market trends and synthesize insights into relevant CMF applications.
  • Monitors and supervises from conception to mass production and ensures the CMF design development process and product execution objectives are achieved.
  • Works cross-functionally to ensure the designs, features, and end-to-end consumer experience are maintained throughout the product development implementation.
  • Sets clear objectives, provides ongoing performance feedback, and evaluates potential to lead, develop, and manage cross-functional global teams.

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in CMF Design or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in CMF design or a related role.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) along with good sound interpersonal skills.
  • Highly skilled in relevant applications Keyshot, Adobe suite Solidworks.
  • Experience working with a variety of manufacturing techniques and materials, and quickly learns the capabilities of new ones.
  • Experience in AI driven design (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance .
  • Solid analytical skills with a strong attention to detail .
  • Ability to meet deadlines and react rapidly to new information.
