As a Senior Production Specialist in the Technical Manufacturing organization, you will perform a variety of manufacturing tasks producing high quality medical diagnostic product reagents while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in multiple processes and gain new skills that can help you advance in your career. You will operate under 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO standards. You will be making a difference daily by supporting production of innovative products that keep people and animals healthy. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, take initiative, and possess agility and a mind for continuous improvement.

What you can expect in this role

  • You will perform a variety of production/manufacturing tasks producing high quality medical diagnostic product reagents while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • You will fulfill requests for critical materials from the R&D and Raw Materials Testing groups
  • You will be responsible for placing orders for Technical Manufacturing and Bulk Solutions Manufacturing team as well as handling monthly reconciliation of expenses and invoice automation workflows
  • You will serve as a liaison to external vendors providing critical supplies to the group
  • You will train new team members on relevant SAP transactions and work order yielding
  • You will support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
  • You will coordinate work with Facilities and external vendors as needed to support lab and equipment maintenance
  • You can identify problems and assist in routine problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment
  • You will ensure equipment cleaning, maintenance, and calibrations are performed in a timely manner
  • You will complete assignments without supervision, solve problems independently and assume responsibility as appropriate
  • You will have a wide latitude for independent judgment
  • You typically have 3-4 years production and/or manufacturing experience

What you will need to succeed

  • You have a High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; an Associate degree or equivalent is preferred
  • You have the data gathering and analytical ability
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and have a successful track record working cross-functionally
  • You have basic project management ability
  • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You can work both individually and as a team player
  • You are a continuous learner who embraces a growth mindset
