As a Staff Accountant - Hybrid on the Corporate Accounting Team you will have the opportunity to partner with a number of internal departments including Treasury, Mergers and Acquisitions, Human Resources, Payroll, Tax, Real Estate and Operations.

We are seeking someone who demonstrates knowledge and experience in accounting, using independence and judgement to recognize and resolve problems. An ideal candidate will be able to apply their strong excel skills and analytical thinking to improve the company's procedures and process flows. This candidate should be very detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and be able to demonstrate full ownership of their work.

Your Impact

Based out of Hanger's Corporate Office in Austin, TX the Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly close processes including preparation of journal entries; including a large quantity of prepaid amortization entries.
  • Perform analysis as well as assist in reviewing or enhancing analysis and analytical processes and controls.
  • Support financial due diligence and financial integration of acquistions.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the organization to help review, analyze and implement standards that directly affect the expense reporting system.
  • Ensure Balance Sheet accounts are properly calculated, supported, and reconciled.
  • Complete other accounting duties/projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA is a plus.
  • 2 years of general ledger accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibilities preferably with a large, public company.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Preffered.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Intermediate-level experience using Excel, including the ability to work with complex tables and Xlookups.
