We are looking for an Vehicle Maintenance Helper for our Martins Airport, Maryland facility.
In your role as General Maintenance Helper, you will:
Provide labor for all tasks to refresh the interior of the Marc II coaches.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
Responsible for performing all tasks to refresh the interior flooring, seating and wall covering on the Marc II fleet,
- Use basic hand tools
- Use battery tools
- Remove all seat cushions and seat frames
- Remove heater guards
- Remove all melamine wall panel trim
- Using appropriate tool remove all flooring and adhesive
- Install new flooring tile
- Install new wall covering
- Replace heater guards and wall panel trim
- Replace seat frames and seat cushions
- General House Keeping
- All other duties as assigned
Training
Training will be provided in Baltimore, Maryland upon hire.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements
- Heavy work, lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 100 pounds on a rare basis
- Stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/balance/climb on a regular basis
- Push/pull/grip/carry on a regular basis
- Walking long distances over uneven terrain
- Demonstrate auditory and visual acuity
- Exposure to equipment that intensifies the heat factor on an occasional basis
Employment Conditions
- Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries
- Wear protective equipment such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety-toe boots and safety glasses
- Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work
- Complete annual training and pass safety rules examination
- Subject to random testing for drugs and/or alcohol per certifications
- Must pass all required assessments
- Required to pass a post-offer medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing.
Environmental Conditions
Work outside in all weather conditions and on occasion at heights in excess of 100 feet and in confined spaces
