Job Description:

The Finance Solutions Team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the team as a Senior Manager, Finance who will be a project manager supporting finance and technology initiatives. This individual will engage the finance business community to ensure delivery of project milestones within an agile framework. The candidate will oversee enhancements of sophisticated integration points associated with the Finance and Accounting, Procurement, Tax and Treasury operating environments. In this role you will partner across all levels of accounting and finance, as well as Finance Shared Services, as well as with Squads and squad leaders within the Corporate Technology Group to define, prioritize, and deliver solutions. You will work closely with our Technology partners to improve our current technology platform, while also helping to drive the implementation and adoption of new tools, processes and technology (e.g. enhancements to management and profitability processes/tools) within the business.

This role manages and influences internal partners including, Heads of Finance, Management and Technology team members and the Financial Analyst community to ensure the success of projects. This role coordinates the completion of tasks by these internal and external partners to complete the project in the agreed upon timeline.

The Team

This role will report to the VP of Project Management and will work with associates from Business, Technology and Finance teams throughout Fidelity. In this position you will be a member of a small team of project managers who together with their Business Analyst peers support the technology portfolio and related processes for the broader finance functions. The team is responsible for matrix management of business partner engagement and collaboration with teams leading key initiatives.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Masters' degree or equivalent experience with 6-8+ years of professional experience preferably in the following areas: financial reporting, financial services, accounting operations
  • 3+ years of related Project/Program Management experience
  • Experience leading projects using Agile principles
  • Experience with matrix management to meet program deliverables and milestones
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner and/or Scrum Master desirable
  • Your ability to apply critical thinking to existing processes and/or problems to identify and propose opportunities for improvement
  • Organizational skills and your ability to balance priorities across multiple concurrent results while leading workstreams from planning to execution
  • Ability to effectively communicate recommendations and influence leadership as needed
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to learn/understand sophisticated financial systems and processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive, collaborative relationships across a broad array of functional areas and various levels of the organization
  • Ability to assess collaborator needs and identify/coordinate appropriate team resources
  • Ability to partner additional resources from the adjacent COE's and Chapters as needed to implement solutions
