Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.
Global Markets Technology (a division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch) seeks a Feature Lead to lead and manage a team of 7-9 developers to build & maintain a Transaction Reporting Regulatory Application across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes for OTC Derivatives and FX products. Experience in regulatory transaction reporting for CFTC, EMIR, or MiFID II is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Lead and guide a feature team and hold them accountable to procedures and routinesDrive large scale projects and deliverables across various tech and business teamsDrive collaboration with analyzing technical requirements and interpret them into codeDesign and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applicationsProduce documents including design documents and class diagramsCoaching the team on writing reusable, testable, and efficient codeReviewing and approving team members codeMaintain existing code and applications to support operationsPerform testing with technical peers and functional end users to ensure successful launch of development projectsL3 production support, including off-hours support when neededPromote quality engineering and good coding practices across the companyRequired Skills:10+ years of software development experience on large, complex systems5+ years OOP in Python programming experience in a development facility like Quartz, SecDB or Athena5+ years of leading teamsBuilding software with Test driven approach (unit, functional, etc.), along with test automationExcellent written & oral communication skillsAgile development life-cycle experience with a strong knowledge of SDLCAbility to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasksAbility to prioritize, adjust, and push for completion of multiple tasks in a fast-paced organizationDesirable Skills:
