This Registered Nurse- Assistant Nurse Manager is a supervisory position located in Surgical Service Clinic at the Togus, Maine location.

This position is full - time at 40 hours per week.

Included but are not limited to:


Demonstrates working practices that include adherence to Infection Control standards, Patient Safety standards and the safe use and operation of equipment.

Demonstrates ability to lead and direct diverse and dynamic groups of staff in the delivery of safe and effective patient care.

Demonstrates leadership in the application of the nursing process patient/resident care, organizational processes and/or systems, improving outcomes at the program or service level.

Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and the requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of subordinates.

Makes recommendations for appointments, advancements or reassignments of subordinates.
Giving advice, counsel, or instruction to subordinate personnel on work and administrative matters.
Resolves complaints of subordinates and referring more serious complaints not resolved to higher level supervisors.
Identify developmental and training needs of subordinates and providing or making provision for such development and training.
Serves as the Nurse Manager during absence of the Nurse Manager.
Will perform other duties as assigned.

This position is in the Excepted Service
Current and former Federal employees must submit copies of their most recent SF-50, (Notice of Personnel Action). This position is covered by a special rate.

Pay:

Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
