This Dialysis Float Pool Registered Nurse is in the Nursing service at the Togus VA Medical Center, located at the Augusta, Maine location. This position is a full-time position at 40 hours per week.

Duties:
Incumbent works under the direction of the Nurse Manager or their designee. The position encompasses the provision of acute and chronic hemodialysis to adult and older adults with acute and chronic renal failure. The Dialysis RN implements and documents nursing care during dialysis, initiates dialysis, monitors patients (may provide care for up to two at a time) and dialysis machines, as well as terminates dialysis procedures as indicated. During times that no acute dialysis is needed, the Dialysis RN will float to various units (competency based). Dialysis will be available six days a week. On call for 24/7 coverage of acute dialysis is mandatory.
