We are seeking a Database Engineer/Oracle Database Administrator to join a dynamic team utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) approach. Our team follows Test Driven Development (TDD) practices and leverages test automation tools and collaborative platforms. The program adheres to DEVOPS principles, ensuring robust development, testing, and production environments are in place.
Job Summary
We require a skilled Database Engineer to maintain and enhance a sophisticated system with precise interface, performance, and security demands. The chosen candidate will offer expertise in database engineering encompassing architecture, design, development, testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting database design, development, and implementation
- Analyzing and evaluating system enhancements and optimizations
- Developing long-term and short-term database requirements
- Assisting in database structure development
- Translating data into usable database schemas
- Providing solutions to technical challenges in data replication and access
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Junior candidates must be located in Maryland; Mid-Senior can be located in MD/CO/CA/VA
- Experience as a Database Administrator
- Proficiency in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB databases
- Skills in Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and general SQL
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with high-quality work in fast-paced environments
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java
- Scripting experience in JavaScript, Bash, Perl, Python
- Experience with Cassandra and MongoDB
Full-Time Salary Range:
$200,864 (based on market pay structures and individual qualifications)
