Disbursement Service Representative

Summary

The Disbursement Service Representative is responsible for processing all requests associated with dividend changes and cash disbursements on the enterprise's insurance and individual annuity products.

Key Responsibilities

Processing of returned dividend checks and related correspondenceProcess disbursement accounting transactions for surrenders, withdrawals and policy loansProcess various policy quote requests from the agents, customers and third partiesResponsible for communicating with career and independent office staff, agents and customers via email, telephone or regular mail to provide policy informationManage request for ACH drafts/wire transfers with treasury department; validate that transactions are completed and accounted for accurately in the administrative systemAll financial transactions involve use of Lawson systemMonitoring of areas clearing accounts and monthly reconciliations using BlacklineProcess address change requestsAdministrative and related support system functions Job Requirements Associates degree a plus; high school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant business or accounting classes 2+ years of office experience with A/R, A/P or bookkeeping experienceKnowledge of life insurance products preferredExcellent, proven technical skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); Access database knowledge preferredProfessional communicator using all available media (e-mail, voice mail, written, oral)Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure is essentialDetail, goal and deadline orientedStrong organizational skillsAbility to be a strong contributing member of a team Overtime work is required as needed, and can be on short noticeThe base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
