Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the direction of the Diagnostic Imaging Director, Imaging Supervisor the Lead MRI Tech performs MRI, radiographic and special procedures at level not requiring supervision of technical detail, performing a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with customers, fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Specific position duties may be found in the Competency Check-Off form for this position.
- The MRI Tech must be able to assists in specialty areas (ie. O.R., Invasive.)
- Is capable of assuming full responsibility for one or more modalities in MRI and Radiology
- Produces MRI exams and images, as well as radiographs in accordance with established standards.
- Positions, transfers and provides immobilization assistance as required.
Position Qualifications:
- Certification by the State of FL (Dept. of Health)
- Certification in ARRT (American Registration of Radiologic Technologist), MRI Credentialed
- Previous experience working in a Hospital MRI role, is desirable
- BLS Healthcare Provider
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
