Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will perform entry-level accounting work with a focus on our Food and Beverage purchasing. This position will be assisting in general accounting and bookkeeping functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reviews, classifies, and enters accounts payable invoices.
  • Verify accounts payable checks before distribution.
  • Sign off on accounts receivable invoices before distribution.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
  • Assists Accounting Manager in preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging.
  • Perform bank reconciliation and account analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
  • Serve as backup for other duties in finance department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in accounting or finance role.
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of accepted financial and auditing procedures.
  • Strong math skills; high aptitude for figures
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational ability
  • Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.
  • Detail oriented
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
