Grand Central Bakery is growing We are looking to hire a Sales Coordinator to help connect our products with more locations. The Sales Coordinator is the daily coordinating link across Grand Central Bakery teams/locations and our wholesale customers. The Sales Coordinator maintains a visitation schedule for grocery accounts and wholesale accounts under direction of Wholesale Accounts Manager. The Sales Coordinator generates wholesale sales, including targeted cold calls and blind drops, under direction of the Wholesale Accounts Manager while meeting Grand Central Bakery's 3 Steps to Giving Great Service.

The ideal candidate for this position has excellent customer service skills, is detail and systems oriented, and is able to utilize time management and technical skills to maintain deadlines.

Location: 21 S Nevada St, Seattle, WA 98134

Rate of Pay: $27.00 per hour

Schedule: Full time, Tuesday - Saturday. Schedule flexibility, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Generates wholesale sales, including targeted cold calls and blind drops, under direction of the Wholesale Accounts Manager
  • Process all orders, including those outside of our normal procedures and provide ordering support for current customers
  • Generates monthly sales reports and analysis under direction of Sales Manager
  • Assists with special projects as needed
  • Assists with account maintenance by offering advice, creative solutions, information and samples
  • Must drive to multiple locations to complete scope of duties
  • Maintains a visitation schedule for all wholesale accounts
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating all wholesale sales presentation documents,
  • Acts with superior customer service to support office administration via phone and visitor management
  • Identifies and actively problem solves/trouble shoots individual and recurring customer issues
  • Supports retail, production, and delivery needs as they relate to sales and customer service
  • Participates in peer training of new employees

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required
  • Maintains food handler's card – new hires are expected to have a valid card by their first date of work
  • Must be able to add, subtract, and multiply with ease and accuracy
  • Intermediate computer skills including use of MS Office
  • Experience in an ERP or Sales Order System a plus
  • Ability to maintain composure while juggling timelines, phone lines, and any customer service related duties
  • 3-4 years of customer service experience required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales support environment preferred
  • Valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record
  • Must pass a company administered driving test
  • Strong communication skills that are effective, productive, and direct.

Physical requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Remains stationary for the majority of their working shift.
  • May be called upon to travel between vendors and Grand Central Bakery locations.
  • Works in a building shared with production facilities and is constantly exposed to wheat flour dust and other grain dusts (rye, corn, oat).
