Role Overview:

  • Lead the enhancement and modernization of our cloud infrastructure in AWS with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to create and implement streamlined data pipelines across AWS and GCP ensuring high data quality.
  • Optimize existing APIs to seamlessly support robots operating globally and provide direct customer support.
  • Implement and maintain essential tooling and infrastructure for efficient CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain security best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and share insights with the team.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior members of the cloud engineering team.
  • Resolve cross-functional issues and offer expertise in problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Other duties and tasks as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud engineering, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Go and Python programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, security protocols, and application performance monitoring.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Passionate about robotics, automation, and technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience in robotic software development or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, event-driven architectures, and Agile methodologies.
