Position Overview:
As a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in cloud computing to empower organizations in modernizing their IT frameworks. You will be part of a skilled team that utilizes advanced enterprise cloud platforms to address complex challenges and enhance operational efficiency.
Your Role:
In this position, you will collaborate with fellow cloud specialists and engineers focusing on platforms such as Office 365, Azure, or AWS. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and testing cloud solution components, ensuring that our clients can effectively harness cloud capabilities.
Utilizing a DevOps approach, you will build and manage containerized applications, employing tools like Kubernetes to drive innovation. You will have access to internal labs for Azure, AWS, and GCP, allowing you to explore various strategies to tackle client challenges and work closely with stakeholders to deliver optimal technical solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with AWS or Azure in live environments across a diverse range of services.
- At least 4 years of experience in constructing, deploying, and overseeing Cloud environments.
- Proficiency in using automation and configuration management tools such as VMware Tanzu, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, PowerShell, or Terraform.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Capability to obtain AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Azure and CompTIA Security+ CE Certification within three months of employment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with open technologies, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, and AppDynamics.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Understanding of the complete software or systems development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and implementation.
- Experience in conducting proof-of-concept projects and developing prototypes.
- Knowledge of resolving production issues within established ITSM frameworks, including SLAs and OLAs.
- Experience with DoD security protocols and cloud security best practices.
- Expertise in implementing advanced Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- Knowledge of federal IT and Cloud security policies.
