Why We Need This Position:

We are a forward-thinking company dedicated to enhancing our capabilities in mobile fraud prevention. Our goal is to stay ahead of competitors, ensuring our ongoing relevance in the market. We are looking for a passionate Mobile Engineer to join our team and help us push the boundaries of what's possible in this field.

As we aim to continuously improve our fraud prevention techniques, we need an innovative individual who can develop and enhance signals for our native iOS mobile SDK, with potential extensions to Android. The ideal candidate will continually explore new possibilities and develop unconventional methods to tackle fraud-related challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Extract Raw Information: Utilize iOS developer APIs to extract data artifacts for better and stable VPN detection. Extend these techniques to Android if the candidate has relevant experience.
  • Innovation and Security: Apply expertise to innovate and enhance our fraud prevention products, SDKs, and APIs. Develop methods to ensure competitors cannot reverse-engineer our findings.
  • Collaboration with Web Researchers: Investigate findings in mobile browsers using iOS browser APIs. Explore specific parts of the iOS for data extraction and identification.
  • Task Prioritization: Work on tasks prioritized according to business needs, such as detecting remote device control.
  • Competitor Analysis: Explore competitors' fraud prevention products and analyze their capabilities.
  • Documentation and PoC Code: Document findings and write non-production proof-of-concept code.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Degree or background in security.
  • Mindset: Hacking mindset or a keen interest in security and fraud prevention.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong grasp of iOS/mobile technology and security concepts.
  • Experience: Experience in reverse-engineering or similar research projects. Android experience is appreciated but not mandatory.

Offers vary depending on, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certifications/licenses, skills, training, and market conditions.

Due to regulatory and security reasons, there's a small number of countries where we cannot have Fingerprint teammates based. Additionally, because Fingerprint is an all-remote company and people can join our workforce from almost any country, we do not sponsor visas. Fingerprint teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location.

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment for everyone. We embrace and celebrate the unique experiences, perspectives and cultural backgrounds that each employee brings to our workplace. Fingerprint strives to foster an environment where our employees feel respected, valued and empowered, and our team members are at the forefront in helping us promote and sustain an inclusive workplace.
