Description:

The Accounting Associate works closely with the Divisional Controller and Accountant and is responsible for various administrative and support duties related to the Finance department. This person will primarily assist with managing the inventory as it relates to receipt, payment, processing, and invoicing. The Accounting Associate will manage vendor-owned material and coordinate inventory ownership as it pertains to the steel market. This person will be a direct liaison between the Purchasing and Production Planning departments. Individual responsibilities will vary based on assigned functional area (i.e. accounts payables, receivables, inventory control, etc.) relative to business need.

Person in the role would need to be willing to support the office in the capacity below:

This role will also assist with some administrative duties as needed including but not limited to answering main line phone calls, greeting visitors, planning occasional office lunches, stocking office supplies, etc.**

Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable,
  • Accounts Payable Invoicing/Invoice processing
  • Administrative support
  • Billing
  • Inventory control
  • Vendor Set Up

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED required
  2. 1-3 years' experience in related field. (working within manufacturing is a huge plus, production environment)
  3. Fluency in both English & Spanish huge plus
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills.

Intermediate Level
