The Opportunity

Passionate about shaping the future of energy? We're seeking a seasoned product leader with a unique blend of industry expertise and product management prowess to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind our cutting-edge energy and renewable energy products, leveraging your deep understanding of the market and technical acumen to unlock significant business growth. This position offers the opportunity to bridge the gap between the commodities and meteorology worlds, creating innovative solutions that leverage the power of data for a more sustainable future. This role will collaborate with a team of leading experts in energy, meteorology, and data science to push the boundaries of what's possible.

The Work:

Define and manage the product vision, and roadmap for a portfolio of commodities and energy trading offerings, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends. Collaborate with an experienced team of AI/ML engineers in the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of predictive models for energy production, consumption, and price fluctuations, enabling data-driven decision-making. Conduct market research, customer interviews and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and product features. Own the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch, optimization, and support, including assisting sales and marketing teams with their activities. Develop and implement product strategies that drive user adoption, engagement, and revenue growth. Analyze product performance data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimization. Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in the energy and renewable energy sectors, continuously evaluating their potential impact on our product offerings.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in North American and/or European energy trading (natural gas, electricity), ideally with a proven track record of success in identifying and executing profitable opportunities. Seasoned product manager with a proven ability to define product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy. Solid understanding of how weather variables and patterns influence energy trading activities and how they impact operations and maintenance of renewable infrastructure and conventional utilities. Solid understanding of the renewable energy and conventional utilities landscape, including key technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks. Experience in influencing cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, marketers, and sales, to deliver impactful products on time and within budget. Data-driven decision-maker who can utilize market research, customer insights, and analytics to inform product strategy. Excellent communicator and influencer with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a knack for identifying and solving customer pain points.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science. Industry experience in Agriculture and soft commodities including oil seeds, coffee, corn, wheat, or cotton. Experience with APAC renewable energy and conventional utilities landscape, including key technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

This is a full-time, exempt position. This job operates in a professional office environment or remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Ability to re-prioritize when necessary. Ability to independently manage priorities and take initiative on issues. Strong work ethic and are flexible working extra hours when needed. Ability to self-direct or self-motivate.
