The Product Designer will drive user-centric design methodologies within our Product Team, crafting compelling experiences for future products. You will collaborate with strategists, designers, and technologists, shaping Coates' future product portfolio. Your role involves researching, prototyping, and refining user experiences to innovate our ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

· Lead user research initiatives to inform product design, leveraging market and design trends.

· Lead collaborative ideation workshops with cross-functional teams to foster innovation.

· Lead the creation of user-centric artifacts like personas, journey maps, and flows for clear UX articulation.

· Leads strategic planning sessions within the design team, ensuring design initiatives support long term goals.

· Integrates business, technical, and user considerations into design strategy, enhancing product value and market fit.

· Analyses and predicts design trends, advising the team on strategic applications to stay ahead in the market.

· Communicate design concepts effectively to ensure team and stakeholder alignment.

· Lead information architecture development, focusing on intuitive navigation and usability.

· Leads the evolution of design projects through an Iterative design process by prototyping and user testing, translating feedback for improvement.

· Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure feasibility and problem-solving, ensuring design decisions are well integrated with other aspects of the project.

· Advocates for the adoption and adherence of the Design System across functions, ensuring its benefits are realized organization wide.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Degree or Equivalent Experience: Hold a degree in Design or related field, or possess equivalent practical experience.

· 3-5 Years of Experience: Demonstrate 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI/Product design roles.

· Proficiency in Design Software: Be proficient in design software like Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, etc.

· Workshop and Testing Experience: Have experience in facilitating workshops and conducting user testing.

· Iterative Design Approaches and Web Technologies: Possess experience with iterative design methodologies like Agile and Double Diamond, along with knowledge of modern web technologies and responsive design principles.

Success Factors:

· User Satisfaction and Engagement: Measure feedback, satisfaction, and engagement metrics to ensure design improvements positively impact user experience.

· Product Adoption and Usage: Track adoption rates and user interaction metrics to gauge the effectiveness of design changes in driving engagement and usage.

· Task Completion and Efficiency: Evaluate user task completion efficiency through usability testing, aiming to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

· Cross-functional Collaboration: Assess collaboration and alignment with product and engineering teams through feedback mechanisms and project milestones.

· Innovation and Creativity: Measure the output of ideation workshops and integration of emerging design trends to ensure a culture of innovation.

· Customer Experience Culture: Gauge the embedding of a customer experience culture within the organization through surveys and participation in cross-functional initiatives.

Capabilities:

· Exceptional visual design skills with a strong portfolio of previous works.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and creativity.

· Proficiency in design, prototyping and wireframing tools.

· Ability to handle multiple projects.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate and present design decisions to a non-technical audience.
