The teaching load is two or three 4-unit courses per semester (a cycle of over two years), including Core and Journalism courses in reporting, writing, digital media production, ethics and/or history of the genre. LMU values the teacher-scholar-practitioner educator model and offers a pre-tenure sabbatical and opportunities to apply for research funding and to hire undergraduate research assistants.
