Job Title: Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist

Company: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Lennar Foundation Medical Center- Coral Gables

  • The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist performs Echocardiography procedures independently with expertise and attention to detail.
  • Responsibilities also include providing 24-hour clinical examinations as needed, ensuring accurate documentation, and staying compliant with regulations.
  • Accountabilities:
    • 40% Perform Echocardiography procedures, verify patient's ID, and explain procedures to patients.
    • Maintain clean work area, assist in reporting processes, and handle Xcelera Systems.
    • 5% Help orient, train, and evaluate new staff.
    • 10% Report critical values and provide complete documentation of cases.
    • Acquire clinical information, maintain safety standards, and adhere to compliance standards.

Supervision Received:
The Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist reports to Lead or Chief Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist, UMHC/SCCC Manager, and Medical Directors.

Supervision Exercised:
None

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a two-year AMA program
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • CPR Certification
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
