This position will teach three sections of Middle School Science courses and three sections of Middle School Outdoor Education/Movement courses. Candidates will also be prepared to participate in the life of the school, including, but not limited to supervision of lunch, teaching an elective, coaching, sponsoring a club, serving as an advisor, chaperoning trips, and other duties as assigned by the Middle School Director. This position reports directly to our Middle School Director.

Teaching Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, degree in science preferred
  • At least three years prior experience teaching in a Middle or High School setting
  • Knowledge of and ability to teach Life Science, Physical Science, Environmental Science, Biology and Scientific Methods
  • Understanding of or experience with Outdoor Experiential Education
  • Passion for working with middle school-aged children
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • Experience developing curriculum strongly preferred
  • Comfort with using the Google Suite of applications Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
