The Senior Director, Ecommerce and Digital Merchandising will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategy to drive our digital business.

This includes digital merchandising, enhancing our online customer experience, maximizing conversion rates, and driving revenue growth to hit our financial plan.

This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of e-commerce, digital marketing, and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in a similar role and demonstrate exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Director will oversee the business and website strategy for each division, aligning with financial, brand, and product goals for each season.

This role involves leading a team of merchandisers, content managers, operations, fraud, and inventory management teams to optimize key performance indicators such as Conversion Rate, Average Order Value (AOV), Units Per Transaction (UPT), Gross Margin (GM), and other critical business metrics.

The successful candidate will seamlessly integrate business objectives with innovative merchandising strategies to ensure cohesive and effective execution across all divisions.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute a holistic merchandising strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on optimizing product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to drive online sales and profitability.


Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing merchandising team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

Utilize advanced analytics and performance metrics to assess and refine merchandising strategies, ensuring data-driven decisions that enhance the customer journey and increase conversion rates.


Customer Experience:

Champion the customer experience by implementing best-in-class merchandising practices, including effective product categorization, cross-selling, upselling, AI and personalized recommendations.


Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, supply chain, and IT, to ensure seamless execution of merchandising initiatives and alignment with overall business objectives.


Market Analysis:

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in our merchandising approach.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business management. Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in e-commerce merchandising, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful online merchandising strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop talent.
Deep understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and web analytics tools.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, content management systems, and merchandising software.

The salary range for this position is annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
